We are puzzled by Ace Hardware’s decision to mail-in-rebate approximately half of its Black Friday sales items, despite the fierce competition. Think about it, most people shop on Black Friday to get INSTANT savings and deals. They don’t think, “Let’s just pay the full price!” and then take the rest of the day to fill out tedious little forms that require ridiculous things like: copy this, clip this, glue this, fill in the dots, paint by number and then maybe, if you actually do it all just so, we might mail you something in the next 4 to 6 months via USPS snail mail. Then, after you have read all the fine print, you realize you’ve wasted your time trying to save €5.

We understand that mail-in rebates are attractive to resellers, but they still collect the full price and manufacturers have to refund the money.
